What is Tour de Laemmle?
Tour de Laemmle: Vérité is a 132 mile cycling event with limited support that stops at all nine Laemmle Theatres in the L.A. region. It takes place Sunday, July 23, 2017 and will be led by Laemmle President GREG LAEMMLE who is inviting the public to ride with him.
This event is open to All AGES. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
Wearing a bike helmet on Tour de Laemmle is mandatory.
All legs are recommend for SKILLED RIDERS only. Greg’s pace on the road is expected to average around 15-17mph, but could exceed that at various times. Due to scheduling concerns, riders who can not maintain pace WILL BE DROPPED from the main pack and will have to navigate the route on their own. Riders who are advised by the “Sweep” rider or any Ride Marshall that they are moving too slow may be asked to drop from the Event and find their own way back to their ultimate destination. The decision of the Sweep or Ride Marshall in such matters is final and non-negotiable.
The route will be published online in advance of the event at TourDeLaemmle.com. There will be for a link to the downloadable map when it becomes available.
Riders must officially join Tour de Laemmle: Vérité at the starting location which is the Monica Film Center in Santa Monica. Riders can bail out early, but can’t join mid-route. Riders must give themselves ample time to complete any paperwork, ready their equipment, and exit the starting location before the designated closure time.
The published OFFICIAL DEPARTURE time is 7am.
All pit stops (theatre stops) will CLOSE at an appointed time. Riders who do not depart a stop by the official close time will no longer be supported or considered part of the ride. Closure times will be posted in advance of the ride.
All riders who complete the FULL 132-mile route this year will be given a pair of commemorative Tour de Laemmle CYCLING SOCKS.
All participants who complete the full Tour are invited to a post-ride party at the Monica Film Center in Santa Monica, starting approx. 5pm on July 23. Beverages will be provided.
Food & Drink On the Ride
The Tour will provide free provisions typical to cycling events such as water + electrolytes, fruit, nuts, energy bars, peanut butter, etc. Specific provisions may vary per stop and will be available on a first-come basis. Meals are NOT provided.
Also, riders may enter any open Laemmle theatre for free, unlimited fountain drinks (water, tea, soda), and popcorn. Tour de Laemmle: Vérité sponsors may also offer free drinks and snacks at some stops. There will be no provisions offered at the following locations: The Royal (West L.A.), The Music Hall (Beverly Hills) and the Ahrya Fine Arts (Beverly Hills).
Greg Laemmle will ride at an estimated 15-17mph AVERAGE. This is not an official or guaranteed pace and he may EXCEED it at various times.

What the Tour DOES NOT Provide
- Way Finders or Route Markers on roads shared with vehicles
- Bicycle repair or maintenance beyond fixing flats or other minor issues
- Full Meals
- Transport to and from the event
Release of Liability
- Participants ride at their own risk.
- All participants will be required to release Laemmle Theaters, LLC and it’s owners, employees, and contractors from any liability arising from participating in Tour de Laemmle: Vérité.
- All riders must sign a Waiver of Liability prior to participating on Tour de Laemmle: Vérité. Waivers will be supplied at the beginning of the Tour (Monica Film Center).
